Well...My spring break has certainly given me something VERY interesting.
BACTERIAL TONSILITIS!!
Yeah, solid food has eluded me for nearly 3 days now, I have a fever over 101 degrees, and EVERY time I stand up I feel like someone is beating me over the head with a L A R G E mallet.
I don't mean to sound like I'm complaining, but wouldn't you?
Well, I should have a doctors appointment for Wednesday.
I'll update you on that.

An Un-incredible Spring Break
Sorry I haven't been keeping up with this. I just haven't had a lot going on in my life, and I feel like a day-by-day list of the banalities of my life would be weird and pointless.
OH WELL SUCKS FOR YOU!
Today is March 10th, 2009.
Today is March 10th, 2009.
I'm currently on "Spring" Break. I hesitate to even call this a "spring" break because the weather, and scenery hardly hearken to the season of spring. The grass is brown, the trees have no leaves, and the sky is overcast. It looks like a wasteland to be honest.
For the break, I have nothing interesting to do, and so far haven't done anything interesting.
I'm considering starting a Mini Contest on Deviantart.
Something like...Build a better Leprechaun or something.
I'll post the details tomorrow. (3/11/09)
MY PAGE ON DEVIANTART IS http://www.squigicomics.deviantart.com REMEMBER!
I do intend to see Watchmen, the new hit blockbuster movie based on the Graphic Novel series by writer, Alan Moore, artist, Dave Gibbons, and colorist John Higgins. It promises to be amazing, so I'll definitely have a post on here with a review.
AS WITH MY CORALINE POST, THERE WILL PROBABLY BE SPOILERS, SO IGNORE THE POST, OR SKIP IT ENTIRELY IF YOU DON'T WANT THE MOVIE SPOILED!!
Well good luck with your lives guys!
Squigi, OUT!

Day 3: Technically Day 8
Today is Friday February 20th.
I was suppose to have a contest end today on Deviantart.com, but there can't be a contest with no entries.I guess I'll have to wait untill next month. You see, I start a contest every first of the month on Deviantart. The theme, and some rules may change, but the main rules are usually the same. The contest end is always the 20th of whatever month it started in.
For more info on my contests, how to enter, and anything else you would want to know, you can visit my page at:
Other than the demise of my contest, I don't have anything going on in my life worth noting. That's probably the reason I haven't updated for a while.
Well I guess I'll leave you for now. Hopefully I get some new entries next month!
Good luck with all you do!

Day 2: Coraline
I just went to see the major 3D movie Coraline, and I have nothing but praise for this work of cinematic genius.
Not only is this the first stop motion movie to be made in 3D, it's one of the best stop motion films ever made. This is coming from a die-hard Nightmare Before istChristmas fan.
The animation is flawless. The hair and clothing moves in a lifelike way, the water and lighting effects are expertly done, and the incorporation of CG characters, in the form of three trapped child ghosts was perfect. I'd say THE best stop motion film ever in the way of detail and fluidity.
I don't want to ruin the movie for anyone who hasn't seen it, but I loved it. The heartwarming story revolves around a spunky tomboy named, what else, Coraline. Her family moves into the Pink Castle Apartment building. Between the move and her distant parents, life seems bleak for Coraline. Until she stumbles on a door that's been hidden in the wall of her new home. Her adventures in a perfect parallel world, that's been created just for her by an evil witch will dazzle any audience.
My only criticism for this movie is the content. The movie is Rated PG, but some of the scenes can get scary, and there is one scene in particular that I find a little PG13. Anyone who's seen the movie will know that there is a scene in the "other world" where Coraline enters a theater and watches a show her elderly actress neighbors perform. There is brief partial nudity in this scene, and I personally think parents should screen this before letting their 6 year olds watch.
I'll be posting several links to professional reviews and the movie's site below.
Good luck, and try to see this movie while it's still in theaters!

Thanks, and I'll be posting later

Definitely 2 thumbs up from me.

Day: 1 Valentines Day
OK.
This is my first time posting in a blog, so anyone aware of it's existence will have to excuse the fact that I'm a newbie at this whole thing. ^_^"Today is Valentines Day!
Now, I personally like the fact that there's a day set aside so that we can show each other how we love each other. Whether it's school kids handing out little paper valentines, or Husbands buying their wives roses and diamonds, I like that we set aside time to say "You're really special to me."There are however some things that I do NOT agree with that are attached to this holiday.
- The pressure to buy expensive flashy gifts for our significant other is just stupid. I fall prey to it occasionally, but because I like to shower them with gifts out of generosity, not a social pressure to give her diamonds, or roses. This Valentines Day I gave my girlfriend a beautiful bouquet, and a little teddy bear, but I think she would have been just as happy if I gave her a hand drawn card. I know she loves me, and I don't need diamonds to show that I love her.
- The Over-commercial attack on the holiday is getting to me. It's just as highly decorated and marketed as Christmas or Halloween in some places. Yes, it's a day to show love...but, well this just ties into the "Massive gifts aren't needed to show love" thing.
- The cupid thing is just weird. WEIRD I TELL YOU. A baby flying around and shooting people to make the fall in love? Love strikes without warning, and all the time. A baby is not needed. Plus it's just creepy.
As a shameless plug, I'll put up links to my Deviantart account, where you can see my artwork, and my youtube account, where you can see my videos!
Well...I'll probably post more as time goes on
For now,
SEE YA PEOPLES!!
